Respect the game and each other

All members, visitors, coaches, and officials are expected to uphold the following standards to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Respect and behaviour

  • Treat all members, visitors, coaches, and officials with respect, dignity, and courtesy.
  • Do not engage in any form of abuse, harassment, bullying, or discrimination including verbal, non-verbal, physical, and/or online behaviour.
  • Act as a positive role model, on and off the court, and help foster a welcoming, inclusive club culture.

Fair Play and integrity

  • Play fairly and always follow the rules of tennis and pickleball, respectively.
  • Comply with all Club policies and decisions made by the Committee.

Safety and wellbeing

  • Help maintain a safe environment for all participants to the Club.
  • Do not engage in unsafe, reckless, or inappropriate behaviour on or around the courts, clubhouse, and grounds.
  • Respect the use of Club facilities, equipment, and property.

Child safety

  • Members, coaches, and visitors must always prioritise the safety and well-being of minors, including:
    ○ treating minors with respect, patience, and encouragement
    ○ maintaining appropriate boundaries when interacting with children
    ○ complying with the Club’s child-safe policies and procedures.
  • Report any concerns regarding a child’s safety promptly to the Club’s Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) via [email protected]

Communication and conduct

  • This Code of Conduct applies to behaviour at the Club and in all Club-related communications, including email, messaging, and social media.
  • Members are expected to represent and promote the Club positively within the broader community.

Club community

  • Respect the time, effort, and volunteer contribution of all Club Committee members.
  • Support the Club’s friendly, inclusive, and community-focused environment.

Complaints and concerns

  • All complaints or concerns should be directed to the Club’s Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO), who will manage matters confidentially and appropriately via [email protected].

Breaches of the code

  • Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, suspension, or termination of membership.
