Club Constitution
Governance
The Bareena Park Tennis Club Constitution sets out the legal and operational framework for running the club as an incorporated, not-for-profit association under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009. Its core intent is to define how the club is governed, including how members join, rights and obligations, how disputes are handled, and how the committee is structured, elected, and operates. It establishes clear processes to ensure fairness, accountability, and consistency in decision-making, while protecting the interests of the club and its members.
Beyond governance, the constitution outlines the club’s broader purpose: to promote and develop tennis and pickleball, provide facilities and activities for members, and foster participation and sportsmanship in the community. It ensures that all funds and assets are used solely to support these objectives, reinforces the club’s non-profit status, and provides rules for financial management, meetings, and eventual winding up, ensuring the club operates sustainably and transparently over time.
